LbaWin 0.8.1 Beta released
By elmuerte at 2006-01-27 21:46
Sébastien Viannay just released a new version of LbaWin.
Version 0.8.1 contains a lot of bugs fixes and a improved installer (made by me ).
It has been almost 3 years since the previous release. It's good to see this awesome project being back on track.

In case you don't know. LbaWin is a MS Windows port of LBA1 made by one of the original creators of the game. You still need a valid copy of LBA1\Relentless in order to play the game.

You can download the latest release here.
Note: you will first need to create an account in the bugtracker. If you have any issues with LbaWin please report them in the bugtracker and not on the MBN.

[TwinAdv] LBA3 presented to publishers - New Ludoid team
By MBN Bot at 2005-12-23 23:30
In response to an email I sent a while back, Frederick Raynal announces the formation of a new team, and mentions that he presented several projects, including LBA3 to several publishers.

Damalalaï Puppet
By elmuerte at 2005-12-20 19:43
(Yes, this news is somewhat old, but I think it should be bumped to the frontpage)

SpaceGuitarKid made a Damalalaï Puppet. The puppet is completely hand made using old clothes. And simply looks amazing.

A Damalalaï is one of the concept characters from LBA3 that have been introduced a little while ago.

Read the full details about this nice creation here.

MBN v4 Launched
By elmuerte at 2005-12-18 13:51
After a couple of days of hard work it is finally finished.

The Magicball Network version 4 is now online

The previous version of MBN (the brown looking one) wasn't updated any more. The main reason was that the software wasn't finished and I didn't feel like finishing it.
With vBulletin version 3.5 it became easier to extend the forum software without needing to edit the original files (that would become an upgrade disaster). One of the many extentions written by users of vBulletin was a link with the Drupal CMS software.
In the last week I've been busy setting up the Drupal software, and writng needed extentions, and moving (most of) the old content of the MBN to the new site. And this is the result, MBN v4.

Because of the new CMS software it will be easier for me to add new content. And no, I'm not going to compete with Twinsen's Adventure.

Gamespot's TenSpots
By elmuerte at 2005-12-18 13:25
A new story has been posted on the frontpage.
Gamespot is one of the larger online game magazines. One of their signature features is the so called TenSpot. It's a list of the top 10 best entries of a certain subject, not always in order. The LBA games have been featured in a couple of these TenStops.

Now featuring news from "Twinsen's Adventure"
By elmuerte at 2005-11-29 16:43
The forum will now be fed with news from Twinsen's Adventure.

The reason for this should be obvious, because the MBN front page isn't updated with news anymore and TwinAdv is.

The really old news entries of TwinAdv have been closed because these already have been discussed in other thread.
