By elmuerte at 2012-12-22 08:37
Just in case you don't know who Phillipe Vachey is, he's the guy that made the excellent music for the two Little Big Adventure games, Time Commando, and a bunch of other games.

So go over to his new website and check it now. Make sure you also check out the "Press" section, it contains some interesting interviews with Phil. The music section also contains music from No Cliche's cancelled horror adventure: Agartha.
Lastly, the LBA1 OST is now available on iTunes and Amazon.

The Prequel Demo is now released
By Zink at 2012-12-06 09:07
Hello all LBA and Prequel fans.

The time has come to reveal everything and end everything.
As you know, for the last few years we have been working on the LBA Prequel demo, to show you a glimpse of what the full game could become.

The demo is now finished! You can download it from the Download page. This is the good news.

The bad news is that the project is now officially cancelled. Yes, the Prequel will not be made.

You can read more on this on our blog (http://lbaprequel.xesf.net/blog/) or in the thread I have created in the Prequel section of the forums: https://forum.magicball.net/showthread.php?t=16549.

Little Big Adventure 1 coming to iOS and Android
By elmuerte at 2012-10-31 17:23
The people from DotEMU released this image today via their twitter account:

That is a photo of LBA1 running on an iPad. The port is currently still under development for both iOS and Android.

Additionally, DotEMU is also selling LBA1 and LBA2, you can get the LBA1 + LBA2 bundle for only 7,99 euro. The games cost 4,99 euro separately.

Just like GOG.com, DotEMU is an digital distributor that sells classic games (DRM free) which have been fixed to run on modern PCs.

The great LBA multi-medium mega movie!
By Darkflame at 2012-02-18 12:15
Can you act? draw? sing? animate? knit? do stop-motion? use flash? CG?

How about any medium of storytelling whatsoever?

We are inviting everyone and anyone to help us out with our latest project - a multi-medium non-liner movie of Little Big Adventure 1!

We arnt looking to be professional here, merely as creative and as imaginative as possible. Anyone is free to do any scene...however they like!

Full details and a poll are here:

If you think you can do a scene, or even a few, please reply to the poll so we get an idea of numbers.

The whole SOPA/PIPA thing
By elmuerte at 2012-01-18 22:29
As you may have noticed, a lot of sites have gone black or stopped updating on the 18th of January 2012. This is all done to give off a signal to the US government that their proposed laws called SOPA and PIPA are a terrible thing.
The main reason why the MBN didn't went black was that I didn't prepare anything.
But just to make things clear as possible, with laws like SOPA and PIPA the MBN would not even exist. A lot of the activity on the MBN revolves around user creations, a single spoof of a movie containing Twinsen would be reason enough to remove the MBN from the Internet. But its not just user creations, but also a simple avatar of a Disney character or a quote from the Harry Potter books posted on the MBN could be a reason to kill off the whole site.

So if you live in the US, don't forgot to do your part and save the internet (see links below on what you could do). But it's not just laws in the US that form a problem. The same media giants are also pushing for similar laws in other countries. So keep your eyes open.

Official LBA1 remake on the way (and an interview with the team)
By Graxer at 2011-12-29 14:42
GOG.com just realeased their interview with the team who created LBA. In that interview they seem to reveal an official LBA1 remake and the possibility of an LBA3 if it is successful!

First, as we have such honorable guests, please let us know, if you can reveal, on what projects are you currently working on?

We are working on the remake of LBA1 :-) Individually, we are involved in other projects we can’t tell. Fred just released a small puzzle game he did himself: “bOxOn”, you can find it on his website ludoid.fr.
Here is the full interview

I think this is great news and am really looking forward to seeing how the remake goes and how true it is to the original!

LBA 1 and 2 on sale at GOG.com
By elmuerte at 2011-12-23 19:07
If $6 was too much for your wallet to buy any of the re-release of Little Big Adventure from GOG.com.

Then good news, you can by them now with a 50% discount.
So for a mere $3 you can get the re-release of Little Big Adventure and Little Big Adventure 2 (each).

This offer lasts until the 2nd of January 2012, and also applies to all other games.

Little Big Adventure 2 (Twinsen's Odyssey) now available on GOG.com
By elmuerte at 2011-10-20 19:59
Only a week after the re-release of Little Big Adventure, GOG.com has now re-released Little Big Adventure 2, also known as Twinsen's Odyssey.

As is usual with releases of classic games on GOG.com, you will also get some extras when you buy LBA2 (which will cost you only $5.99). The extras include a wallpaper, various design sketches, another development team photo, and probably the most interesting part: the design script for the game. Sadly (for some), this script is in French.

Note: again the links do not work on the front page. So visit the thread first before you click the link. Or use the "buy from gog" banners at the top.
