As of April 2007 the Little Big Adventure community known as Magicball Network (MBN) has become part of Ludoïd. The MBN will remain the same community it has been in the past 6 years and will expand along the new creations of the new game studio Ludoïd.
To celebrate this event a special version of the original Little Big Adventure will be made available to the community shortly.

Today DarkOnister released the thrid and final part of this Lord of the Ring trailer spoofs. By using only footage from the movies and in-game action of LBA2 and the sound of the LOTR trailers he created very interesting spoofs.
Now with this behind us, can we expect more spoofs of other movies?

A new MBN member named DarkOnister brought us a marvelous new piece of LBA fan art. It is a video compilation of scenes from LBA2 to reenact Lord of the Rings. The audio track is from an Lord of the Rings trailed.
You can view this very nice spoof here on YouTube. And you can give your feedback in this thread.

Calling all peeps at the MBN to join the Relentless Movie Project. We have recently established a fine list of tasks pertaining to the first five minutes of this animated feature. You can volunteer in a number of ways, ranging from character modeling to simply posting your feedback on the RMP forum. Here are, however, various Job openings.
Note: While we are aware that all of us are not getting paid to work on RMP, and that we have our own lives to manage (school, work, private life, etc...), we will ask for a small degree of dedication for the bigger tasks (like modeling Twinsen).

Years ago there was in idea to open an MBN shop where you can buy MBN related merchandise. For a long time this didn't happen. But today it has finally become reality.
The MBN Shop has been opened. There's a wide collection of products available with various designs, including the MBN logo, the Magic Ball (as used by the MBN) and Sendell's Medallion.
From every purchase from the MBN shop an amouth goes to the MBN. This income, ofcourse, will be used to cover the costs of the MBN and help make improvements.
Attached to this post you find photos of one of the products I bought to test out the service. It takes a couple of days for the product to be made and a couple of more days for it to be delivered. I received my other within a week.
The Magic Ball and Sendell's Medallion designs are vector designs. The Logos are normal high quality images. The images will be printed on the shirt my means of digital transfer. Because of this these designs will only work on white shirts. The vector designs can be put on any product.
You can request a different product using the existing designs if you want, I'll try to add the product as soon as possible.

Or at least, that's the plan.
The MBN will move to it's real home: http://www.magicball.net
And the forum will be put at: http://forum.magicball.net
The reason for this is simple, I don't own the el-muerte.student.utwente.nl domain and in the "near" future I will move away from the university campus. So I have to move the MBN to a local that is under my control a long time before I lose control so that the internet can catch up.
The process of moving will probably take a couple of hours, during that time the MBN will be unavailable.
All links to the current MBN location will be redirected to the new location as long as possible.
Update! (2006-11-28 15:53) The move has been performed.
A couple of things still have to be fixed:- Restore the quotedb functionality
-
Fix character encoding of certain database tables (most importantly the game quotes)
-
Update forum posts to write the old url to the new one

Today .TaKaM released a demo of his platform game: Twinsen
In Twinsen you play the role of Twinsen (in case you are wondering) and once again you have to save Twinsun. Aliens sliced the planet for a reality TV show, so now the world looks like it's from a platform game.
This demo only has one level and two types of enemies. You are equiped with both the sword and the magicball.
You can download the demo here.
